Regional, GMO-free soybeans of monitored origin are the backbone of our production. They rank among the most important legumes worldwide and the climatically favoured Pannonia area allows for high-return growth.
The soybean´s favourable combination of protein and oil content and its high biological value create an increasing demand for soybean as food and feedstuff. The beans characteristically show an average protein content of 33% to 40% and an approximate oil content of 17% to 21%. As we value quality, we have introduced a voluntary bonus system rewarding high protein and fat contents in the beans supplied. For selection of bean varieties we would like to refer to the official bean varieties list of AGES.
It is vital to us to apply our high quality standards already at the stage of soybean selection. We primarily purchase our raw material in Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovakia – meaning from fields within a maximum range of 300 kilometers from our production plant in Güssing. On top of the quality parameters and the GMO-free status of the beans, we also attach significant importance to a certification by Donau Soja and certified sustainability (for example AACS, ISCC, REDcert). Certified sustainability is strongly gaining importance. At the same time - as we have also experienced it with rapeseed - it is becoming increasingly difficult to market soybeans without this certification.
We apply seamless control mechanisms to ensure high quality standards of our soybeans. The results of these control mechanisms are verified by regular, external analyses carried out by independent testing institutes. Eventually, the beans undergo several traditional production steps until they are processed into premium soybean meal and oil. Our suppliers perform a valuable contribution to securing a traceable and healthy supply of regionally produced soy bean products for the domestic agricultural industry.
